The iPhone 14 series, AirPods Pro 2, and three Apple Watches have been tipped to launch at an upcoming Apple event in September, reportedly slated for September 13. According to the tipster, it remains uncertain whether the event will be online or offline, but more information will be known at the end of August. It’s also not confirmed whether Apple will release new Mac devices and iPad tablets at the September event. Meanwhile, Apple is all set to host its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) starting June 6.
Tipster LeaksApplePro hinted via iDrop News that Apple’s September event could take place in week 37 of this year and tips a launch date of September 13. The tipster adds that Apple has yet to decide whether the event will be in-person or online. The company won’t decide close to the event date. The tipster claims confirmation would be available in mid or late August, as Apple will then begin recording for the September event if it’s an online event.
iPhone 14 Series
The Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to unveil its iPhone 14 series at the September event. The tipster has said the iPhone 14 would look identical to the iPhone 13, adding that it will include last year’s Apple A15 SoC, slightly modified and named Apple A16.
As per previous reports, the latest news also claims that Apple would not launch a mini version of the iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 14 series was tipped to come with a punch-hole screen, instead of the notch seen on current-generation iPhone models. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are expected to have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes, respectively. The iPhone 14 Max is expected to cost $899 (approximately Rs. 69,600), while the recent leak has hinted that the iPhone 14 price will be $799 (roughly Rs. 62,000). Both handsets would start at 128 GB storage options.
An earlier report from the same tipster had said that iPhone 14 Pro prices could start at $100 (about Rs. 7,400) higher than iPhone 13 Pro, and the latest leak confirms that, saying the iPhone 14 Pro will be priced at $1,099. (approximately Rs. 85,200), while the iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 93,000). There is no confirmation yet of the home storage option that the iPhone Pro models will include. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are said to run on the Apple A16 SoC, although it may be branded as the Apple A16 Pro SoC, the tipster added. The tipster said the two models may have 256GB of storage as the base model, though this has yet to be cemented. The tipster also echoes an earlier report to claim that the iPhone 14 Pro series will have a 48-megapixel primary sensor.
AirPods Pro 2
AirPods Pro 2 is expected to launch at the September event. The AirPods Pro 2 is “the biggest innovation in wireless earbuds since the original AirPods” and comes with a new codec, a voiceless design, and noise-canceling technology. The earbuds may also have a USB Type-C connector instead of the Lightning port. Apple’s earbuds are said to come in white and will cost $299 (approximately Rs. 23,200).
Apple Watch 8, Watch SE, Watch Extreme Edition
In September, the American tech giant will release three Apple Watch models: the Apple Watch Series 8, the new Watch SE, and a Watch Extreme Edition. The Apple Watch Extreme Edition is said to be priced higher than the Watch Series 8, which reportedly starts at $399 (about Rs. 31,000). The tipster has said that the watches can only get an internal update and may not have a redesign or flat bezels.
Mac and iPad
The tipster has said that if the September event is in-person, new Mac devices are expected to launch, while if the event is offline, no Mac devices will be found. No details about the launch of new iPad tablets are available now.
As mentioned, Apple is all set to host its WWDC starting June 6. The five-day event starts with a special keynote and ends on June 10. The upcoming Apple developer event will be hosted virtually for the third year and will be streamed live through official channels. Apple is expected to announce next-generation software updates such as iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and more during WWDC. Apple would also reveal updates for HomePod and AirPods.
